I grew up in Washington DC and eventually moved to Southern Maryland.
My career started in the finance and insurance industry as an advisor at an investment firm. Later, I joined an insurance agency team working as a risk management advisor. What I enjoy most about my role is helping clients mange their everyday risks and protect some of the most important things in their lives.
I really enjoy being married and raising a family. Spending time with my wife, and seeing my kids grow up is the best part of having a family. When I’m not working, you can find me with the kids working around the house or in the yard or starting a new home improvement project. Something people might not know about me is that I like to fly remote controlled helicopters.
Whenever I get a chance to do so, I like to take part in workshops and teaching kids and young adults about investing and saving
I was born and raised in southern Maryland and have never moved away from my hometown, La Plata MD.
When I was only 18 years old, I became a Starbucks manager. I then moved on to work at a national bank where I maintained a position as a financial consultant for a year and a half, managing accounts, doing teller work, opening up loans, Credit Cards, accounts, and helping clients understand the world of financial well-being. Being in that position made me realize just how much I love helping clients prepare for their financial future.
When it comes to insurance, I am always looking for ways to protect and make clients’ financial and insurable interests amazing. What excites me the most about my work is how I can help clients be protected through all of life’s journeys.
On a more personal level, I love explaining fitness to people I meet, and telling them about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. It may come to no surprise that I enjoy going to the gym and staying active. However, my guilty pleasure is baking. I love baking cakes, pies, cookies. Just like my mom used to do before she passed. I am also an artist, I paint, enjoy photography, ceramics and pretty much everything art related. I like to help my high school ceramics teacher whenever I can.
I grew up in Georgia and went to university there, majoring in History with a minor in French.
At work, I enjoy helping and advising customers on how to best manage their everyday risks. I am fairly new to insurance, but very excited about the positive contributions I can make in the lives of our clients.
Personally, I enjoy cooking, spending time with my Corgi, playing pool, and watching documentaries about the Civil War and World War II. In my free time, I like to go to concerts, plays or pay a visit to the museums in DC. My guilty pleasure is British sitcoms. I love “Fawlty Towers”, “Blackadder”, etc.
When it comes to volunteering, in the past I’ve done work with my local public library and at the Smithsonian Museum of American History too!
